It has been a good long time since I've posted (and rightly so, maybe more on that at some future time). Things have been quite crazy "out there", but that's what was expected and should most certainly come as no surprise. Between the now admitted triple meltdown at the Fukushima nuke plant, the record breaking floods that currently threaten one or possibly two nuclear plants here in the US and the raging wild fires currently threatening the Los Alamos nuclear storage containers in New Mexico, there definitely appears to be a "running theme" developing. Then there's the continuing "GlobalRev" uprisings around the world along with the failed attempts to hijack the movements by TPTB, the continuing economic collapse playing out like a slow motion train wreck and the incredible weather anomalies that are only now being recognized as "incredible" by the MSM. Again, maybe more on these at a future time.
See, that's not what this post is about. I'm not interested in posting an "update" on the news, nor an editorial opinion piece...nor even a "how to" type article about RVing or growing a container garden in a campground somewhere in Florida.
If you're not already "up-to-date", you're simply doing it wrong.
If you're more interested in what I have to say than what an expert has to say, I thank you but please do check out the expert first - we can chat later about what he/she says.
If you haven't been greedily consuming everything you can find on the net about "how to" this or that, you are not only wasting valuable time but you most likely deserve the ignorance you currently possess on your particular "this or that".
No - this "post" is a sort of reminder of what should be considered sustainable. This post is here to help clarify some very false and potentially lethal misinformation that's out there (and has been out there), and hopefully help guide the misguided toward a more rational middle path (both in a physical, practical sense and in a more "spiritual path" or "way of life" kind of way).
And to top it all off, I'm not even going to write a "proper post". I'm going to simply embed a video you should watch, in which an actual expert talks about this, and leave it at that. So here's that video:

Dear American
The story, as many others do, begins like this: A long time ago, in a land far away...
The story is a long one, leading up to this point, and may, in fact, be a long one leading forward. We wont concern ourselves with what happened before, nor what happens later, as this story is about a young man's "today".
You see, "today" is today, no matter where you are - no matter what land you inhabit - and what this young man was realizing is something many of even our own people, and our current generations, can relate to. His world, as it stood, had become a very dismal place. Greed and corruption ran rampant. The people of his land were encouraged by their overlords to "sacrifice" their "cares" in order to pay their bills. Everyone was being forced into acting as a sort of compulsory slave, and they found themselves working long hours for little in return.
It seemed only the most ruthless could succeed in this young man's world. Those who followed their hearts were destined to become outcasts.
The young man wasn't happy about any of this, and so he found himself taking it upon himself to worry. He would worry about his family, his friends and his neighbors. He even worried about the future generations of his people. Continually reminding himself that he shouldn't worry so much, that it was unhealthy to do so and that these people he worried over had, for the most part, brought this all upon themselves, didn't seem to help.
He found himself sleepless and experiencing a very real physical pain as he imagined how his world "should be".
Day after day, night after night, the young man would put on a brave face. He would spend time with his family and pretend that he fully understood the situation his world was in. He offered his very best spiritual and emotional insights to others who worried, and he assured them that their worry was unnecessary...that things would take care of themselves.
After a few hours of this, he would retreat to his home, exhausted, and find himself swimming in his despair. The world was so big, and so corrupt. He knew there was no way for him to save his people from the approaching cataclysm.
Each night, his heart would cry silently while he attempted to distract himself from the problems he knew he alone could never solve. Evil itself had corrupted everything he knew, every aspect of his society, and the only solution to this problem was a complete devastation of his world.
But today, instead of impatiently waiting for sleep to come, as he usually did, the young man decided to take action. He decided that it was more honorable to try to speak out to the people of his world than it would be to just watch silently as his world was destroyed by the pervasive greed and corruption.
So, sitting quietly in front of his computer, he began to write:
Dear American,
I am writing in hopes that you will wake up. Your way of life is corrupt, and it will soon be over. I am not making a "death threat", I am trying to warn you of what is coming if you don't open your eyes. The world we live in is changing rapidly, is becoming more difficult to live in by the day, and it will soon become impossible to maintain society in its current form. It is up to each and every one of us to change the way we think about life and the way we act in the world.
There is but a short time to get your affairs in order. Soon, time will run out and we will all be living a very different way. Today's world is about to become a thing of the past...both a happy memory and a dire warning for future generations. The question is, will you be helping to preserve freedom and liberty, or will you be helping to destroy both with your blind faith in a failing system? Will you be prepared for the world you find yourself in?
We are all aware of the rampant corruption in government. We are all aware of the escalating erosion of our liberties. What we may not all be aware of is that such things as the current economic collapse were planned events. You see, a handful of individuals, families and corporations have amassed a large amount of wealth through their financing of such atrocities as World Wars 1 and 2, Hitler's concentration camps and even modern day terrorist activities. With this wealth came power. Lots of power. From the Federal Reserve Bank and the Bilderberg Group to Skull and Bones and Bohemian Grove, there is far too much secrecy surrounding those who run this country's affairs. Just ask yourself this question: if these people have my best interests in mind, why do they meet behind closed doors?
I am not telling you to go out and buy guns, nor am I telling you to stock up on canned meats and vegetables, though both of these may be good ideas. What I am telling you to do is this: become aware of the very painful but obvious conspiracy at play. You have become slaves in your own country. The dystopia of science fiction is already our way of life, from constant surveillance and big government nanny states to mind controlling drugs administered to the masses and high tech gizmos that betray every aspect of your being.
Through the consolidation of power by the wealthy elite, we the people have lost all but the faded memories of what made this country great. The dollar bill in your pocket is nothing but a debt to be repaid, and every hour you work, every penny you save, makes somebody else rich as you slide deeper into poverty. This is not the "American Dream", and it's not intended to be. This is the dream of the powerful elite. And it will only get worse from here.
It is already too late to make things right without many years of painful recovery and rebuilding, but if we don't start working today, we're only allowing things to become worse. Every year we sit back and allow this cancer to progress, our nation's recovery will become harder and more painful. You can help save our children and grandchildren from decades of suffering, but you must start by changing the way you think about wealth.
Wealth is NOT money. Wealth is NOT a new car or expensive clothing
Wealth is love, friendship, family and happiness
Wealth is freedom of emotional and spiritual fulfillment
To make things right, you must stop buying your video games, cell phones and fake fingernails. You must stop feeding these empty material desires that have done nothing but enslave you. Stop sacrificing your dreams by flipping burgers and answering phones for a living. Instead, invest your time and money into what makes you truly happy...what truly fills you with joy. Decide to love your neighbors and cherish your dreams. Invest in your local businesses. Buy your local produce. Grow flowers and vegetables in your own back yard. Spend time with your children before they learn to distrust and hate you. Withdraw all your money from the bank and spend it on what you know will last...on things that can be handed down generation to generation and shared amongst communities.
This is the only way to break the cycle of corruption we find ourselves in today.
This is the only way to get our country back.
It is your duty, as an American, to become informed. It is your duty to prevent the slavery that has been planned for you and your children by the powerful elite. There is little time left to open your eyes, and little time left to do what's right. Failure is simply not an option.
I am asking for you to work harder than you ever have before to ensure our country's survival. Now, more than ever, your country needs you. And it needs you to wake up.

MSNBC Runs Story on Fed Money Printing - WOW
Who'd have thought we'd see the day when MSNBC actually runs a story on the Federal Reserve printing too much money?
I mean, wow...this story just doesn't get reported.
I believe they're wrong that these protests and revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa are simply due to higher food and commodity costs, but what do you expect? It's mainstream media. If they can't spin it, they wont report it.
That said, admission by the MSM, especially MSNBC, that the Federal Reserve is printing too much money - times are definitely changing.

It's All Just Happening So FAST...I Can't Keep Up!
Those of us who attempt to keep up on the crap going down in the world are finding ourselves at a serious disadvantage over the last few months. Between the "revolutions" going on overseas, the global economic crises and the increasingly painful deaths of fiat currencies, the weather anomalies and mass bird and fish kills, and the beginning of what could be one of the most important sessions of the US Congress in the last 60 years, it's all too much to keep track of.
Firstly, this "revolution meme" is certainly catching - Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, etc, etc...even reports of solidarity protests in China... Thinking about this, spurred on by posts at abovetopsecret.com, I realized that the elitists must have had their hands in this cookie jar for a good long time. The protest and ensuing "revolution" in Tunisia was what we in the US saw as the beginning of all this, but where did that start? Sure, some well educated dude couldn't find work and, in a desperate attempt to survive, attempted to sell fruit on the side of the road...long story short, the police didn't like that and he ended up burning himself alive (self-immolation) over the whole ordeal. The protests and riots ensued shortly thereafter... But why were the people of Tunisia ready to protest in the first place? You see, obviously, the act of self-immolation by one man does not in-and-of-itself begin a revolution - it does, however, act as a rallying cry...a flash-point, if you will.
The simple, obvious answer is WikiLeaks. People were already angry.. People were already struggling to survive and being horrifically oppressed.. But the revelations by the WikiLeaks CableGate releases of the Tunisian government's seemingly endless corruption was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. It affirmed all their worst fears and embarrassed the people as a whole - how could they let this happen in their own country? Imagine, if you will, that WikiLeaks had released a diplomatic cable stating that, in fact, Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii. Do you not think that American's would take to the streets? Well, wait...maybe America's a bad example. You get my meaning though.
The oblivious puppet Assange was secretly handed the perfect documents to begin an elitist-controlled revolution that would quickly spread throughout North Africa's and the Middle East's resource-rich nations. How convenient for them.
It still didn't fully sink in for me, however, until I bothered to take a closer look at what's going on in Egypt... Today, this article from the "Land Destroyer" blog was syndicated on Infowars.com and outlined some interesting details. It turns out that the power elite have had their man of choice, ElBaradei, campaigning since Feb 2010. ElBaradei, as you know, acted as Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and has been sitting on the Board of Trustees of the US foreign policy think-tank International Crises Group for some time. Interesting enough in and of itself.
He also played an integral role in establishing the National Front for Change (another "change we can believe in", perhaps), which included the Muslim Brotherhood we've heard so much about in the mainstream media. Also included in the list of groups within this "front" is the April 6 group, who have played one of the biggest roles in organizing protests via Facebook and Twitter. Would you believe that they're supported by "Movement.org"? That group is "sponsored" by entities such as MTV, Pepsi and even Google. Yeah - the same Google that's been in the news so often for privacy invasion and other forms of "doing evil". The same MTV that teaches young girls to dress and act like whores. The same Pepsi that is literally stealing water resources in places like the Great Lakes.
So, long story short, that whole thing has been being controlled from behind the scenes by the very same people the protesters think they're fighting against. Great news, isn't it?
Next up, let's take a quick look at the ridiculous, spiralling out of control, global economic meltdown that is taking place. The part of this I want to focus on this time around, of course, ties in closely with the weather anomalies the world has experienced in the past couple years. You see, if you thought the mortgage/foreclosure crises and derivatives bubble stuff was bad, go take a look at what's happening with food now. Over the last few years, the entire world has been dipping into reserves of wheat, and with the weather acting up the way it is, the situation has become even more dire. The massive heat-wave in Russia last summer and the flooding in Australia last month are only the biggest, in your face examples of how much the weather is screwing up our food supplies.
Extreme weather events in China, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe, Canada and the US are quickly hacking away at what we're able to put away as reserves each year, and we're getting close to living hand-to-mouth. Is the extreme weather part of a natural cycle? Is it because of anthropogenic global warming? Is it being caused by "weather wars"? My answer to that is a simple "yes". You name it, it's probably contributing to what's happening. At this point, I wouldn't even deny that inter-dimensional space reptiles have their hand in it. The fact is, shit's getting bad out there, and we're about to feel the effects full-on. Already, corn prices are up some 92% and wheat is up around 80%. This translates to higher prices on a broad range of foods, including meats and dairy, processed foods (which you shouldn't be eating anyway) and even "your daily bread". It will even translate to higher gas prices in many places as GMO corn is used to make that ethanol in your gasoline blends.
Add in to this the facts that pesticides (and cellphones and chemtrails and whatever else you want to name) seem to be killing off our pollinators, the increasingly acidic rain and mineral depletion in the soils are making our crops weaker and more prone to disease and parasite infections, and that increasingly hostile weather conditions, swinging from extreme heat and dry to cool and wet, or any combination thereof, are becoming ever so common, and you have a very precarious future for even those things outside the group of foods we call "staples" (wheat, corn, rice, etc).
Food prices are going up, and it's already happening fast. Here in Florida, the cold snaps in November/December sent produce prices up initially. Just as they started to level, of course, cold snaps in Mexico caused them to go up even higher than before. Green Bell peppers are currently running $1/each ON SALE! This as opposed to the wonderful sale prices you could get even last year, which wasn't much better on the "cold front", at 25 or 50 cents each.
As the prices go up across the board, everyone will be left with less money to spend on other "essentials" like big-screen 3D plasma TVs and box-sets of "Lost". Can you spell "unemployment"? Imagine the job losses we will incur as people tighten their belts, yet again, because they're struggling to put a box or two of mac and cheese on the table every week. The hardest hit in the US? My prediction on that is the so-called "big box stores". Kiss your low-paying stock-boy job goodbye as they downsize again and again over the next 12 months. We may even see some burger-flipping jobs disappear as people find they can no longer afford the "$10 Menu" (yeah, inflation's a bitch, isn't it?).
With all this stuff going on, it's no wonder I find myself overwhelmed. If you're not, you're obviously not paying attention. Keep in mind, I haven't even touched on these mass bird and fish kills that are still ongoing since late December of 2010. Yeah, they're still happening, and world-wide. Some of them are, I'm sure, just that usual background noise from overpopulation of a particular species or other natural environmental causes like red tide or outbreaks of disease. There's too many of them, though, and a good chunk can't be just written off as "normal".
And the Congress...and the Senate...and Ron Paul with his House Subcommittee for Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology...and ObamaCare...and the Patriot Act...and you freaking name it...

Add in to this the facts that pesticides (and cellphones and chemtrails and whatever else you want to name) seem to be killing off our pollinators, the increasingly acidic rain and mineral depletion in the soils are making our crops weaker and more prone to disease and parasite infections, and that increasingly hostile weather conditions, swinging from extreme heat and dry to cool and wet, or any combination thereof, are becoming ever so common, and you have a very precarious future for even those things outside the group of foods we call "staples" (wheat, corn, rice, etc).
Food prices are going up, and it's already happening fast. Here in Florida, the cold snaps in November/December sent produce prices up initially. Just as they started to level, of course, cold snaps in Mexico caused them to go up even higher than before. Green Bell peppers are currently running $1/each ON SALE! This as opposed to the wonderful sale prices you could get even last year, which wasn't much better on the "cold front", at 25 or 50 cents each.
As the prices go up across the board, everyone will be left with less money to spend on other "essentials" like big-screen 3D plasma TVs and box-sets of "Lost". Can you spell "unemployment"? Imagine the job losses we will incur as people tighten their belts, yet again, because they're struggling to put a box or two of mac and cheese on the table every week. The hardest hit in the US? My prediction on that is the so-called "big box stores". Kiss your low-paying stock-boy job goodbye as they downsize again and again over the next 12 months. We may even see some burger-flipping jobs disappear as people find they can no longer afford the "$10 Menu" (yeah, inflation's a bitch, isn't it?).
With all this stuff going on, it's no wonder I find myself overwhelmed. If you're not, you're obviously not paying attention. Keep in mind, I haven't even touched on these mass bird and fish kills that are still ongoing since late December of 2010. Yeah, they're still happening, and world-wide. Some of them are, I'm sure, just that usual background noise from overpopulation of a particular species or other natural environmental causes like red tide or outbreaks of disease. There's too many of them, though, and a good chunk can't be just written off as "normal".
And the Congress...and the Senate...and Ron Paul with his House Subcommittee for Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology...and ObamaCare...and the Patriot Act...and you freaking name it...
My head's spinning again. Let me go focus on something more mundane for a while - then maybe I'll post more later.

When Natural Ain't So Natural - GMO Taking Over
Monsanto, Dow, Bayer, Syngenta, BASF...the list goes on. These companies develop genetically modified crops, such as Monsanto's pervasive line of "Round-Up Ready" crops that includes corn, sugar beets, soybeans, and now even alfalfa. The studies done on these GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) should be already on the FRONT of your mind any time you're buying food.
But did you know that so-called "natural food" retailers, like Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley and Stoneyfield Farm, are selling you these GMOs? You see, though products and foods labeled "organic" are not supposed to, and generally don't, have any GMO crop ingredients in them, those labeled "natural" have no such regulation...and according to this article in the Huffington Post, two-thirds of Whole Foods' annual $9 billion in sales is from products contaminated with GMO ingredients.
Repeat: "Natural foods" are contaminated with GMO!
Currently, combined "organic" and "natural" food purchases result in sales of around $80 billion dollars annually, which is approximately 12% of all grocery store sales. Obviously, nobody wants to eat these "frankenfoods"! One manufacturer of GMO crops is even on the record, stating: "If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it." Now we find out that they've been sneaking this crap it into what many Americans had trusted was safe!
So how much of the food out there is GMO? As of 2010, the reports are that 95% of sugar beets, 86% of corn, and 93% of soybeans, cotton and canola (rapeseed) grown in the US are GMO. Up to 80% of processed foods sold in the US contain GMO ingredients and, with the revelation that even so called "natural foods" are contaminated, that percentage may be about to go way up.
It's time that everyone learn to identify both edible and medicinal plants. Start growing non-hybrid and heirloom vegetables in your back yards. The little bit of money you will save can then be used to buy more honest, organic foods when you visit the supermarket. That's a major win all around, not only helping deprive the big business, unsustainable modern agriculture of your hard earned money, but also ensuring the food you eat is truly safe and helping preserve genetic diversity for future generations.

Radar Anomaly During Mass Bird Kill in Arkansas - Electromagnetic Weather Anomalies?
Now, I've been watching things like this happen for years. Back in 2001, shortly after September 11, I happened upon a late night talk radio program called Coast to Coast AM. I had never heard anything like the program before. The host at the time, Art Bell, said there was a report from India that thousands of birds had fallen from the sky. Call-ins mentioned electromagnetic anomalies may be to blame, or possibly HAARP.
Then, back in early summer 2004, there was a strange pelican disappearance at Devils Lake, North Dakota...and just before the disappearance was reported on earthfiles, I had noticed a strange weather anomaly on the national temperature maps. A "bullseye" of extremely cold temperature readings appeared in North Dakota and slowly migrated northward into Canada.
Evidently, about 29,000 pelicans, which were in the process of nesting and raising chicks, suddenly decided to just bug out - some had been tagged with radio tracking devices for tracking migration patterns and were discovered circling the lake weeks later. Something chased them out, causing them to leave their chicks behind to die.
And today, I happened upon this article on infowars with this accompanying news video:

A quick look through the news shows that between December 30th and January 16th, a mere 18 days, mysterious bird and fish kills, most blamed on fireworks or cold weather, and one even on "over-eating", have been reported at these locations:
You have to wonder if strange radar and/or temperature anomalies occurred at some of these locations as well.
A lot of people have been pointing to the 2003 movie "The Core" since this "Aflockalypse" began, which portrayed the effects of a magnetic field collapse, including flocks of birds mysteriously flying into buildings and falling out of the sky, mass whale and dolphin beachings, as well as large, mostly unexplainable fish kills. Though I see no stories about whale and dolphin beachings yet, I'm slowly becoming convinced that something has literally snapped. The question: is it just part of a natural process or did we humans break it? Either way, we're pretty screwed.

Tea Party and "Right Wing Extremists" Blamed for Socialist's Attempted Assassination
I figure we have about a month until Obama signs an executive order that severely restricts gun ownership and begins a major campaign against "right wing extremism". One month until outright internet censorship and the arrests of people like Alex Jones and Jesse Ventura based on charges of "hate speech" (aka "vitriolic rhetoric").
Why?
Because, last week, two stink bombs were mailed to a Maryland democrat and one to the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano.
Because some nutcase, just yesterday, shot a democrat and several others in an apparent assassination attempt.
Because it's a golden opportunity.

Please don't get me wrong on this - the shooter is most certainly a nutcase.
He was obsessed with mind control. He stated that he was in the military, which the Army denies. In fact, the Army reportedly denied his application to the military due to a failed drug test. Backing this up is his reputation as a known drug user that bragged openly about his use of marijuana and his being arrest at least once for possession of paraphernalia.
The shooter, after numerous "non-sensical outbursts" in class, was suspended indefinitely from Pima Community College, pending an official letter of "mental health clearance" assuring them that he was not a threat to himself or others.
The truth of what was really going on with this kid might be a long time in coming, if ever. What we do know is that he held some extreme views, was certainly a racist, was heavily anti-government and was against the Federal Reserve. We also know, however, that he was a left-leaning, Nazi-esque socialist, citing as favorite books both "Mein Kampf" and "The Communist Manifesto", as well as apparently favoriting a YouTube video in which a boy dressed as a terrorist burns the American Flag to the song "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor". His laughter and comments about "baby bombers" directed at a poem by a classmate about abortion also paint him as quite a heartless son-of-a-bitch.
This certainly does not fit the conservative, right-winger mainstream media and officials are trying to make him out to be. In fact, there's a rumor floating already about how the kid voted for Obama. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.
Tying this kid to the libertarian and constitutionalist Tea Party movement, gun rights activism, GOP puppet Sarah Palin or even the American Renaissance white supremacist organisation is exactly the wrong move. The fact is that Rep. Giffords has been in full support of both personal gun rights and tougher anti-immigration law. She has even been considered a bit too right-wing and conservative by her own party, which may have been the real reason she was targeted.
Whether or not this kid was an elitists' patsy to start with, and I'm sure that will be up for discussion for quite some time, that's exactly what he is being used as now. Whether planted/coached into this horrendous act or just so off his rocker that he did it of his own volition, he's in the process of becoming a full-on NWO, elitists' patsy.
After shooting Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in the head, he proceeded to shoot and kill a judge and a nine year old girl. At least 6 people are dead and at least 14 others have been injured. Meanwhile, the heartless machine grinds on, attempting to use this terrible event as means to paint Americans everywhere as the enemy.
As I said, I give it maybe a month until Obama has declared any and all political dissent to be a form of "hate speech"...one month before he begins his final campaign to take away our remaining freedoms and lock us up in prison as soon as we complain about it.

Revisiting the Web Bots
I like to run back about halfway through a "prediction" window to review what was said and see how things are measuring up. In this case, we're talking about the web bot predictions for Nov 2010 through to Feb 2011.
As I've already stated in a post in November, the "tipping point" seemingly did occur, manifesting itself in multiple areas. We saw the backlash against the TSA for groping and radiating our women and children, what still may have been a missile launch off the coast of California, the Wikileaks release of diplomatic cables (replete with media circus), and even the beginning of what became the latest in public Nuclear Armageddon hype with the shells fired by North Korea...A view of the DrudgeReport page this afternoon shows 7 stories talking about the fish and bird kills happening over the last few days, one of which is an infowars.com editorial that asks the question "Is Mass Bird and Fish Die Off Connected to Government Testing?". This is evidence of a very defined paradigm shift over the last month and a half, starting precisely at the beginning of the "tipping point" window predicted by the web bot.
Generally speaking, the shift that occurred has been for us sheeple to open our eyes to the things going on around us. People have been screaming all over the place about what's taking place right out in the open. Previous to the start of the predicted "tipping point", people weren't really screaming at all...at least not outwardly. The mainstream media covered horrendous stories without even asking questions (Remember the Gulf Oil Spill? The intense heatwave in Russia with hundreds to thousands of fires around Moscow?). Relatively few "mainstream" editorials dealt with the fraudsters in government and the large scale changes in the weather patterns. Now, however, it's as if that's all we care about.
The web bots had predicted a very steady decline into this "release language" starting on November 14th (originally the 8th) that would continue right through to January 17th. At that point things would shift to "building-tension language" for a short while, before falling off yet another cliff. So far, through to January 4th, that's exactly what we've seen.
So far, they seem to have hit the nail on the head.
In the update posted in November on the HalfPastHuman website, however, the web bots were predicting that on January 7th we'd see a sudden and significant acceleration of the release language leading into the 17th.
A very steady stream of release type news has been flooding the mainstream as people look around and realize what's been going on right under their noses. We can safely bet that we're in for some truly stunning revelations on or around the 7th, and with the planned Wikileaks releases relating to banks coming this month, we just might have an idea of what that news will be.
Personally, I can't wait.

T Minus 2 Days and Counting...
This morning's scan of the news turned up an interesting, worrisome and thought provoking editorial piece on The American Dream dealing with what I'm referring to as the Baby Boomer's "Economic Shock and Awe campaign".
The author points to "16 Statistics About The Coming Retirement Crisis That Will Drop Your Jaw". Honestly, my jaw didn't drop one bit. It simply got tight as I found myself grinding my teeth in a sort of dread filled anticipation.
The beginning of this latest assault on our floundering economy and financial futures will begin on January 1st, 2011, just two days from now, as the first of the official "Baby Boomers" begin turning 65. Over the following 19 years, every day an average of more than 10,000 Boomers will follow suit by retiring and claiming their monthly social security checks. This is absolutely devastating news for a broken system that already, some 6 years ahead of recent estimates, gives more than it receives.
What's worse is that, due to the exportation of the US industrial base, especially over the last 20 years, a large majority of even fully employed Americans have been left struggling to make monthly bills. Add in the fact that borderline fraudulent, and occasionally outright criminal, marketing of credit products to Americans has left a large percentage with mountains of personal debt and you can start to see the bigger picture. According to this 2009 CNBC article, 23% of people surveyed that made over $100,000 per year were already living paycheck to paycheck. Obviously, those making less than $100,000 make up the majority of our increasingly impoverished nation. If people that somehow "floated to the top" are struggling that much, what does it say about those making $30,000 per year or less?
And it's only getting worse as price inflation continues, wages continue to drop and jobs continue to evaporate into the Chinese and Indian ether.
The CNBC article goes on to say that 36% of all people surveyed weren't contributing anything to retirement savings. In fact, 33% of all those surveyed didn't even contribute monthly to regular short-term savings accounts. That does not bode well for the typical Baby Boomer and his ability to survive in a state of retirement. Nor does it bode well for the rest of us.
Of those who actually DO have retirement savings, most have 401k plans...and the vast majority of those is invested in equities. We all remember that during the initial and subsequent downturns in the economy, along with the accompanying shocking "corrections" in the markets, there have been very significant losses for those with their money in a 401k. This wiped out a large percentage of the Baby Boomer safety net. Most 401k plans will never recover the losses incurred unless the markets surge to levels well above what we saw before the "crashes".
Do you expect such a bull market to come back any time soon? I sure don't. Certainly not in time to cover the Baby Boomer asses, at least.
And as for Baby Boomers with pensions - forget about it. The few that even have them are really in no better shape.
Pension plans are in serious danger of going completely belly-up all around. Article after article, since 2008, has turned up in the mainstream news about how severe the money problems are with these pensions. Back in January of this year, Forbes published this article on their website detailing some of the troubles facing the US in relation to debt. The article states, bluntly, that a figure of $3.2 trillion in shortfall for unfunded pension liability nationally is "a more accurate number" when compared to the US Government Accountability Office's estimate of $405 billion at that time.
So, obviously, a large chunk of the Baby Boomer population will soon be relying entirely on their monthly Social Security checks.
According to the article, Social Security had 16 payers for every receiver in 1950. For 2010, that number has decreased to around 3.3 payers per receiver. By 2025, the number is projected to fall to only 2 payers per receiver, though I would expect it to be lower. What that means is that each employed worker will be responsible for an average 50% of a retiree's monthly Social Security payment.
Just think about the burden that will place on an individual's income - if the average monthly Social Security payment was only a mere $600, we'd be talking about an average $300 per month being taken from each working person who, by all rights, would likely be unable to even make the bills before that $200 was taken from them. According to this Wikipedia page, the median income for 18+ workers in the US for 2005 was $25,149. That $300 per month would represent around 15% of their "pre-tax" income. When you consider all the other absurdities, such as the upcoming mandatory health care costs along with medicare/medicaid, state taxes, federal taxes, etc, that average "take-home pay" will likely fall well below today's poverty levels. And we certainly can't count on prices for necessities falling nor on wages increasing.
You see, many of the Baby Boomers in this country have looked at the numbers, heard all about how bad things are going to be, and they just rolled their eyes.
It's all just been too much for them to think about. They've busy just trying to take care of the important things like paying the electric, phone and cable bills. They've been worried about buying new cars and making sure they have health insurance so they can afford their blood pressure meds. They've been paying off their credit cards and trying to pay off mortgages.
They have had no time to worry about tomorrow and what kind of future their children and grandchildren will be facing, nor to worry about what they can do to change it.
And by not worrying about tomorrow, by simply living in the moment and letting the government, banks and big corporations completely run amok, they've essentially passed the financial responsibility for their continued living after age 65 to the next 2 generations - "Generation X" and, as I like to call us, "Generation Why the F***". Simultaneously, they let this country's economic engine fall into ruins and this nation's government become so corrupt that it, today, closely resembles the Beast of Revelations.
In pursuit of the "American Dream", they've turned future generations, of their own seed, into personal slave labor.
Did they somehow think this was a good idea?
The Economic Shock and Awe that we're about to experience, due to this outright negligence on the part of the Baby Boomer generation, is likely to cripple this nation in VERY short order. How long before we have tens of thousands of highly educated, and highly motivated, young people rioting in the streets over their lack of even menial job prospects and their inability to pay for even the most basic necessities?
My guess is not very long. Not very long at all.
The author points to "16 Statistics About The Coming Retirement Crisis That Will Drop Your Jaw". Honestly, my jaw didn't drop one bit. It simply got tight as I found myself grinding my teeth in a sort of dread filled anticipation.
The beginning of this latest assault on our floundering economy and financial futures will begin on January 1st, 2011, just two days from now, as the first of the official "Baby Boomers" begin turning 65. Over the following 19 years, every day an average of more than 10,000 Boomers will follow suit by retiring and claiming their monthly social security checks. This is absolutely devastating news for a broken system that already, some 6 years ahead of recent estimates, gives more than it receives.
What's worse is that, due to the exportation of the US industrial base, especially over the last 20 years, a large majority of even fully employed Americans have been left struggling to make monthly bills. Add in the fact that borderline fraudulent, and occasionally outright criminal, marketing of credit products to Americans has left a large percentage with mountains of personal debt and you can start to see the bigger picture. According to this 2009 CNBC article, 23% of people surveyed that made over $100,000 per year were already living paycheck to paycheck. Obviously, those making less than $100,000 make up the majority of our increasingly impoverished nation. If people that somehow "floated to the top" are struggling that much, what does it say about those making $30,000 per year or less?
And it's only getting worse as price inflation continues, wages continue to drop and jobs continue to evaporate into the Chinese and Indian ether.
The CNBC article goes on to say that 36% of all people surveyed weren't contributing anything to retirement savings. In fact, 33% of all those surveyed didn't even contribute monthly to regular short-term savings accounts. That does not bode well for the typical Baby Boomer and his ability to survive in a state of retirement. Nor does it bode well for the rest of us.
Of those who actually DO have retirement savings, most have 401k plans...and the vast majority of those is invested in equities. We all remember that during the initial and subsequent downturns in the economy, along with the accompanying shocking "corrections" in the markets, there have been very significant losses for those with their money in a 401k. This wiped out a large percentage of the Baby Boomer safety net. Most 401k plans will never recover the losses incurred unless the markets surge to levels well above what we saw before the "crashes".
Do you expect such a bull market to come back any time soon? I sure don't. Certainly not in time to cover the Baby Boomer asses, at least.
And as for Baby Boomers with pensions - forget about it. The few that even have them are really in no better shape.
Pension plans are in serious danger of going completely belly-up all around. Article after article, since 2008, has turned up in the mainstream news about how severe the money problems are with these pensions. Back in January of this year, Forbes published this article on their website detailing some of the troubles facing the US in relation to debt. The article states, bluntly, that a figure of $3.2 trillion in shortfall for unfunded pension liability nationally is "a more accurate number" when compared to the US Government Accountability Office's estimate of $405 billion at that time.
So, obviously, a large chunk of the Baby Boomer population will soon be relying entirely on their monthly Social Security checks.
According to the article, Social Security had 16 payers for every receiver in 1950. For 2010, that number has decreased to around 3.3 payers per receiver. By 2025, the number is projected to fall to only 2 payers per receiver, though I would expect it to be lower. What that means is that each employed worker will be responsible for an average 50% of a retiree's monthly Social Security payment.
Just think about the burden that will place on an individual's income - if the average monthly Social Security payment was only a mere $600, we'd be talking about an average $300 per month being taken from each working person who, by all rights, would likely be unable to even make the bills before that $200 was taken from them. According to this Wikipedia page, the median income for 18+ workers in the US for 2005 was $25,149. That $300 per month would represent around 15% of their "pre-tax" income. When you consider all the other absurdities, such as the upcoming mandatory health care costs along with medicare/medicaid, state taxes, federal taxes, etc, that average "take-home pay" will likely fall well below today's poverty levels. And we certainly can't count on prices for necessities falling nor on wages increasing.
You see, many of the Baby Boomers in this country have looked at the numbers, heard all about how bad things are going to be, and they just rolled their eyes.
It's all just been too much for them to think about. They've busy just trying to take care of the important things like paying the electric, phone and cable bills. They've been worried about buying new cars and making sure they have health insurance so they can afford their blood pressure meds. They've been paying off their credit cards and trying to pay off mortgages.
They have had no time to worry about tomorrow and what kind of future their children and grandchildren will be facing, nor to worry about what they can do to change it.
And by not worrying about tomorrow, by simply living in the moment and letting the government, banks and big corporations completely run amok, they've essentially passed the financial responsibility for their continued living after age 65 to the next 2 generations - "Generation X" and, as I like to call us, "Generation Why the F***". Simultaneously, they let this country's economic engine fall into ruins and this nation's government become so corrupt that it, today, closely resembles the Beast of Revelations.
In pursuit of the "American Dream", they've turned future generations, of their own seed, into personal slave labor.
Did they somehow think this was a good idea?
The Economic Shock and Awe that we're about to experience, due to this outright negligence on the part of the Baby Boomer generation, is likely to cripple this nation in VERY short order. How long before we have tens of thousands of highly educated, and highly motivated, young people rioting in the streets over their lack of even menial job prospects and their inability to pay for even the most basic necessities?
My guess is not very long. Not very long at all.

Christmas Day, 2009, the "underwear bomber" boarded flight 253 in Amsterdam, bound for Detroit. That part you seem to remember.
And that's why you are just passively sighing over the atrocities being performed hourly at every major airport in this country.
What you seem to have forgotten was this: the US State Department KNEW that Mutallab, the Nigerian who tried to blow up his underpants, was involved with al-Qaeda in Yemen. They purposely and consciously chose to NOT revoke his visa - they thought it might scare him off.
You've seem to have forgotten that intelligence agencies from the CIA and FBI to MI5 and the Israeli Mossad, all admitted that they KNEW that there were plans to blow up airliners with explosives hidden where the sun don't shine. They knew, for a fact, that these plans were coming out of the Yemen.
You seem to have forgotten that Mutallab's own father went directly to the CIA with his concerns about his son's terrorism associations and the MI5 also told the CIA directly about what kind of threat this man posed back in 2008.
And incredibly, you have forgotten that eyewitnesses actually watched Mutallab completely bypass security at the airport in Amsterdam. He didn't even have to show a passport! Does Kurt Haskell or the "sharply dressed man" ring any bells?

Confirming Suspicions - Assange is Just a Puppet
It's been hard to ignore all of the mainstream media coverage of the latest WikiLeaks. The rising chorus of "Assange is a terrorist" over the last week, however, should definitely give us pause. Over and over, Assange is been called a "criminal" and a "terrorist" by corporate giants and governments around the world. The newspapers, meanwhile, who were instrumental in publishing the leaks, from the New York Times to Der Speigel, have received no mainstream criticism for their role.
So, why are they so adamant on labeling the guy as "bad"?
Then this morning, after experiencing a debilitating internet outage yesterday, which continues intermittently today, I find that the charges brought against Assange in this supposed "rape" are, actually, that he didn't wear a CONDOM? Come on people. This is about as absurd as it gets. An international arrest warrant for not wearing a rubber.
These are fake charges brought against a shill, only to be dropped later after the mainstream media circus has had its fun...where have we seen THAT before?
Over the years, a clear pattern can be seen to emerge when you look at periods of time in which something serious was brewing under the surface. Be it Michael Jackson, OJ Simpson, Lacey Peterson, Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden, when someone's face is plastered all over the mainstream press, you can be SURE there's something "they" don't want us to see.
Does Assange KNOW he's being used as a distraction? Does he know that he's being used by the very same elitist fraudsters he's supposedly trying to expose? Of course he does. Otherwise, I'd expect that he'd have been a lot more outspoken when it comes to such ridiculous charges being brought to him by the industrialized world governments. He'd have taken up the offer of residency/asylum in Ecuador. And by now, considering how clear it's become in the last week, he'd have stated very publicly that government operatives have obviously been funneling him junk information and are trying to use him as a distraction from the truth.
The fact that nothing Assange has released, to date, is truly mind-blowing - that everything he has released was already "out there" on the internet and known to anyone with a brain and 5 minutes of free time every day - says to me that he's very aware of the role he's playing.
So aware, in fact, that he's probably smiling to himself at this very minute while thinking about how easy it was to pull the wool over so many eyes at once.

Washington and Wall Street are Shaking in their Boots!
A quick read of this Businessweek article reveals much about the mentality of today's outdated, out of touch "leaders". Viewed as a serious threat to their raping and pillaging, Ron Paul has become, again, the whipping post for the power's that be, or more appropriately, the powers that WERE and who still, for some reason, think ARE.
The article starts off with the story of retiring Senator Judd Gregg, the current chairman of the House Financial Service Committee’s Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, handing out Ron Paul's End the Fed, at a central bank meeting in November. The book, which outlines a return to the gold standard, among other things, debuted on the New York Times non-fiction best seller list at #6 and ranked at least as high as #18 on the Amazon books best seller list. Gregg supposedly told those in attendance of the meeting that it'd be worth finding out what Ron Paul, next in line to take chairman of the subcommittee, has planned for them.
You see, they KNOW we're coming for them. They KNOW we've had enough of them inflating the middle class into poverty while lining the pockets of their elitist cronies. They KNOW we're looking to fix the mess they've made by, first and foremost, exposing them and their ilk for the sociopathic criminals they truly are.
This will lead to stripping the big government incumbents and the Federal Reserve fraudsters, the investment banksters and the too-big-to-fail corporate jackasses, of all their self-assumed power. Eventually, it will lead to the greatest accomplishment of modern times - a global revolution where the shadow government, illuminati freaks are imprisoned for their crimes against humanity.
Let's be clear here, I voted for Ron Paul in the 2008 Primary. I wanted this guy in. I can be quoted as saying then that "if Ron Paul doesn't win this thing, we wont achieve freedom again until there's blood in the streets."
Obviously, he didn't win. He didn't even win the republican nomination. What's followed has been a steady decline into tyrannical "Big Sis" government and a full-on Nazi-esque police state mentality. We have, at this point, no real chance of fighting this thing off without a true uprising of the people.
The "Tea Party" movement, which I have viewed with a heaping dose of skepticism since it was hijacked by those looking to make a fast buck, still does have the underlying spirit of the movement intact. The recent ousting of incumbent Democrats and neo-con Republicans has put the elitists on edge, and for good reason. Republicans and Democrats alike know that time is up and they have to start listening to their constituents. If they don't, they're not only done for politically, they risk a civil uprising or even a civil war.
So what are they doing about it? The same thing they always do! They're distracting everyone with more BS as they keep doing what they've been doing! But this time they're scared. They're scrambling to make things happen before it's too late. They know their smoke and mirrors tactics don't get them very far anymore, and pony shows have almost no effect on the people who have already woken up.
The incoming House Speaker, Republican John Boehner, has already been reported to be discussing ways to keep Ron Paul from becoming the chairman of the subcommittee...you know, to keep him from exposing the fraud and criminal activity of our elected leaders and the banksters. He's doing this secretly and quietly, trying to not raise any alarm bells. Too bad, Boehner - you're on candid camera now.
According to The Daily Paul, if they DO pass him over at the vote next week, the full House of Representatives will have to ratify the chairman's appointment. If that happens, the phone campaign will begin. Don't miss out on that one, should it arise.
What I need to say about all of this, however, is that EVEN IF Ron Paul gets the chairman seat for the subcommittee, the ball that is the complete lock down of the US population is already rolling. We have not only an uphill battle on our hands, in getting our freedoms back, but a battle in which we're heavily out-gunned and certainly out-numbered. For every one true patriot in this country, there are dozens of pathological thieves who want nothing more than their monthly "poor me" welfare checks and GMO foodstamps. These mindless zombies will do anything to protect their entitlements.
Those on the front-lines of this battle will be the first to go. They'll be locked up in FEMA camps and labeled "domestic terrorists".

This Really Pisses Me Off: Government Evicts Man from His Own Land

Here's this man - this man is just trying to live his life the way he wants! He's in the middle of 38 acres of HIS OWN LAND, not bothering anyone or asking for anything!
It's NOBODY'S BUSINESS! Nobody else's business how he's living!
He's doing no harm, seems perfectly content and he's healthy. He's sound of mind. He just wants to be left alone to live his life the way he wants. What right does the town have to keep dragging him into court? To threaten him with eviction? Why aren't people, his neighbors, his friends, standing up for him?
Must everyone dictate how we live our lives?
Is it really even their business?
And how can it be even legal to throw a man off HIS OWN DAMNED LAND!?!?
Isn't there someone he can turn to to get help? To get these people off his back?
He's 72 years old - where's he going to go? What's next? A nursing home? Are they going to throw him into a nursing home? Are they going to declare him insane? Are they going to declare him unfit to make his own decisions?
This is JUST PLAIN WRONG and someone needs to help him.
Where does the government interference in our lives end? They are already dictating where and how we can live, what we can buy, and what jobs we're allowed to have. Trying to Tackle the Problem with the Jet Stream
I've been watching for weeks now as the jet stream breaks down, that "river of wind" that divides the cold air to the north from the warm air to the south (in the northern hemisphere anyway). If you don't know what a jet stream is, see the Wikipedia for some help before reading further.
Several weeks ago, I started noticing some really significant troughs developing in the jet stream. I mean, it's normal, especially this time of year, to see significant troughs suddenly develop along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains chain, but these were sudden and explosive. Being in Albuquerque, I had a front seat to the ensuing high winds and frigid temperatures associated with major troughs. Perhaps that's why I noticed the pattern emerging early on.
When a trough is developing in one part of the stream, to both the east and west of it the stream will curve opposite, forming ridges. Technically, the curvature of the jet stream, the troughs and ridges, are caused by Rossby Waves. That's, I'm sure, the case here, but something truly significant was occurring. The troughs were developing so deep and so rapidly that it seemed the ridge to the east wasn't able to develop fast enough and the whole system would appear to collapse. The jet stream would completely disconnect, as a ridge would move northward, heading for northern Canada, leaving the main jet stream behind. The trough would also appear to get cut-off and drift eastward as the jet stream flattened and reconnected in a simple west to east flow.
Odd enough on its own to see this happen multiple times over a couple weeks, but then a new pattern began to emerge. The troughs began digging even deeper as they developed, digging down as far as northern Mexico in a very narrow slice that seemed to defy logic. The troughs appeared to become more stable, also, as they held together long enough to travel all the way to the east coast, bringing 30s and 40s into central Florida. The major disconnect still occurred, but now off the east coast of the US and Canada. The ridge that developed would move backwards, westerly, into northern Canada and toward Hudson Bay as a new southern branch of the jet stream would form in the tropical Atlantic. At first, this southern branch would cut northward toward Britain, before regaining a semblance of normalcy over continental Europe.
About 3 weeks ago, strange storms began appearing in the GFS model forecast just off the east coast of the US, over the Gulf Stream. These storms would appear to develop before an advancing cold front as a trough made its way toward the east coast. The storm would begin as a small area of thunderstorms with a central low pressure area, much like you'd expect a subtropical cyclone to begin, but suddenly "bomb out" over 12-18 hours, becoming what appeared to be major baroclinic lows with high winds and heavy rainfall, on the *south side* of the jet stream.
The GFS would forecast the jet stream to detach, with a ridge moving northward over Greenland and drifting east toward Norway and a trough developing in the middle of the Atlantic digging southward to the coast of Africa.
These strange storms never materialized the way forecasted, but the jet stream pattern that emerged was right on the money. What followed was extreme cold for Europe as the jet stream dug through northern Africa and into the western Mediterranean. An article today on the effects of this extreme divergence of the normal jet stream pattern details temps dipping to 5*F in Poland, -4*F in Scotland and -11* in Moscow.
In the past week, another change to this pattern has emerged as the jet stream is now digging south past Hawaii, ridging over the western US, then digging a subtle trough toward Florida before B-lining straight across the Atlantic to western Africa. Check out these screenshots (24 hour intervals) from the GFS 250mb wind speed forecast from Stormsurf.
You'll note that the 00 "hindsight" shows the jet stream trough just east of Hawaii digging south toward the equator. A ridge cuts through northern California and east to the Great Lakes before another trough digs south in two branches, one reaching toward the Yucatan. The jet stream then follows a basically straight line heading through the Florida Straights to western Africa. You'll also notice the anomalous circle of high winds over Greenland - the weird cut-off ridge that keeps developing and drifts northward, then eastward toward Norway.
In the 24 hour forecast, you'll note a ridge beginning to migrate east into northern Canada as well as a sudden dig develop in the jet stream over the northern Caribbean, just north of Cuba and Haiti. There's also a shift of the pattern over Europe, with a ridge becoming defined from western Africa into Spain and a well-defined trough around Italy.

It would sound good if we weren't seeing such a strange breakdown of normal jet stream patterns over the Pacific as well. Could this be caused by the strong La Nina in the Pacific? That would sound good if we saw a return to normal as the jet stream approached Europe. This appears to be a breakdown of the atmospheric dynamics themselves, as if something actually "broke" in the upper atmosphere and the traditional, rather stable division of hot and cold air along a zonal boundary is becoming more chaotic as a result.
This article from The Times in the UK details the recently confirmed discovery that the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Drift are truly in danger of shutting down due to increases in melt water in the North Atlantic. Over the last 12 years, a 30% decrease in the cold water return flow has been measured. This, of course, could lead to a total breakdown of the thermohaline circulation. Remember "The Day After Tomorrow"? Yeah, that's what we're talking about here.
Earlier this fall, an article from the Russian Times warned about the coldest winter in 1,000 years for Europe. The article did claim the speed of the Gulf Stream has halved in the last couple of years, which isn't *entirely* true. From what I've gleaned from reading countless articles over the past months, it's being debated within scientific communities as to how much "slow down" has actually occurred in the Gulf Stream itself and, this even more hotly debated, how much of an effect it might have on the climate.
Needless to say, it's starting off as though they were right on the money with their prediction about it being the coldest in 1,000 years.
The problem is that it's not just the Atlantic, not just Europe, that's being affected here. As I said, the strange breakdown of the jet stream over the Pacific can't be explained by the Gulf Stream weakening on its own. What else is happening here? What are we missing?
And for a quick laugh, this article from The Telegraph actually blames "global warming" for a mysterious "blocking high" that has caused the jet stream to tweak out. I have to call BS as, not only is the same pattern developing over the Pacific but this "blocking high" the professor refers to in the article does not explain the troughs in the southern branch of the jet stream reaching nearly to the equator at times. That article is nothing but a puff-piece meant to put the minds of the masses at ease.
Several weeks ago, I started noticing some really significant troughs developing in the jet stream. I mean, it's normal, especially this time of year, to see significant troughs suddenly develop along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains chain, but these were sudden and explosive. Being in Albuquerque, I had a front seat to the ensuing high winds and frigid temperatures associated with major troughs. Perhaps that's why I noticed the pattern emerging early on.
When a trough is developing in one part of the stream, to both the east and west of it the stream will curve opposite, forming ridges. Technically, the curvature of the jet stream, the troughs and ridges, are caused by Rossby Waves. That's, I'm sure, the case here, but something truly significant was occurring. The troughs were developing so deep and so rapidly that it seemed the ridge to the east wasn't able to develop fast enough and the whole system would appear to collapse. The jet stream would completely disconnect, as a ridge would move northward, heading for northern Canada, leaving the main jet stream behind. The trough would also appear to get cut-off and drift eastward as the jet stream flattened and reconnected in a simple west to east flow.
Odd enough on its own to see this happen multiple times over a couple weeks, but then a new pattern began to emerge. The troughs began digging even deeper as they developed, digging down as far as northern Mexico in a very narrow slice that seemed to defy logic. The troughs appeared to become more stable, also, as they held together long enough to travel all the way to the east coast, bringing 30s and 40s into central Florida. The major disconnect still occurred, but now off the east coast of the US and Canada. The ridge that developed would move backwards, westerly, into northern Canada and toward Hudson Bay as a new southern branch of the jet stream would form in the tropical Atlantic. At first, this southern branch would cut northward toward Britain, before regaining a semblance of normalcy over continental Europe.
About 3 weeks ago, strange storms began appearing in the GFS model forecast just off the east coast of the US, over the Gulf Stream. These storms would appear to develop before an advancing cold front as a trough made its way toward the east coast. The storm would begin as a small area of thunderstorms with a central low pressure area, much like you'd expect a subtropical cyclone to begin, but suddenly "bomb out" over 12-18 hours, becoming what appeared to be major baroclinic lows with high winds and heavy rainfall, on the *south side* of the jet stream.
The GFS would forecast the jet stream to detach, with a ridge moving northward over Greenland and drifting east toward Norway and a trough developing in the middle of the Atlantic digging southward to the coast of Africa.
These strange storms never materialized the way forecasted, but the jet stream pattern that emerged was right on the money. What followed was extreme cold for Europe as the jet stream dug through northern Africa and into the western Mediterranean. An article today on the effects of this extreme divergence of the normal jet stream pattern details temps dipping to 5*F in Poland, -4*F in Scotland and -11* in Moscow.
In the past week, another change to this pattern has emerged as the jet stream is now digging south past Hawaii, ridging over the western US, then digging a subtle trough toward Florida before B-lining straight across the Atlantic to western Africa. Check out these screenshots (24 hour intervals) from the GFS 250mb wind speed forecast from Stormsurf.
You'll note that the 00 "hindsight" shows the jet stream trough just east of Hawaii digging south toward the equator. A ridge cuts through northern California and east to the Great Lakes before another trough digs south in two branches, one reaching toward the Yucatan. The jet stream then follows a basically straight line heading through the Florida Straights to western Africa. You'll also notice the anomalous circle of high winds over Greenland - the weird cut-off ridge that keeps developing and drifts northward, then eastward toward Norway.
In the 24 hour forecast, you'll note a ridge beginning to migrate east into northern Canada as well as a sudden dig develop in the jet stream over the northern Caribbean, just north of Cuba and Haiti. There's also a shift of the pattern over Europe, with a ridge becoming defined from western Africa into Spain and a well-defined trough around Italy.

CIA "brain implants" under MK-ULTRA?
We'll start here today, with a wonderful article on The Raw Story about a 2009 lawsuit alleging the CIA implanted electrodes into the brains of active duty military, purportedly to "remote control" prescribed behaviors in the subjects.
From hallucinogens to hypnosis, sensory deprivation to sexual abuse, long-term isolation to now electrode implants, it certainly looks like the CIA was a busy place back in the 50s and 60s. The bulk of documentation for "Project MK-ULTRA" was supposedly destroyed in the early 70s by direction of the CIA Director, but many of the documents are still floating around, much of which are still under lock-and-key. It's likely the program continues, in some form, to this day - of course, we have no public proof of that.
As we know, in 1945, Operation Paperclip, aka Project Paperclip, was instituted to bring Nazi scientists into the US, effectively ensuring that German knowledge would be kept from the USSR. Many of the scientists under Paperclip were experts in mind control and behavior modification techniques, aka brainwashing, and their knowledge was later put to good use under MK-ULTRA. One common theory on the actual goals of MK-ULTRA was the "Manchurian Candidate", an "unwitting assassin" soldier who would be completely under their thumb and would carry out any order his handler gave. Another theory was that the program was designed to research and test effective torture and interrogation techniques.
Either way, it wasn't pretty. This lawsuit, of course, gives more credit to the "Manchurian Candidate" goal theory. You have to wonder how far they went with their research, and how successful they've been in reaching their goals.

DOT-P2P and US bails out EU?
After reviewing the rest of the news today, I have a few interesting articles to share.

Meanwhile, back on earth, in a push to keep big government out of our business, it looks like "anonymous" and the hackers of the world are working on a new project. The "DOT-P2P" project, a "decentralized open domain name system", is what I would have to say is the biggest push forward in years for online freedom and privacy. The recent seizure of domains by big government over supposed illegal copyright infringement or some such has shown how vulnerable we are to censorship on the web. The project, started only days ago, aims to create a decentralized system that relies on peer-to-peer networking technologies, including BitTorrent, to completely bypass ICANN and ISP DNS services. It will use a ".p2p" top-level domain, handled by an existing "community-based" DNS.
Not since TOR has a better idea been put forward in my opinion.

In other news, be ready for a rocky ride in the next week. Not only is the Federal Reserve releasing some important information (namely, the names and other data of financial institutions and foreign central banks it has loaned money to as of late), but the US is evidently preparing to bail out the EU! If the euro were to plummet toward death, one can easily imagine a lot of money flowing into dollars, giving the dollar a big boost akin to a shot of anabolic steroids. However, if the US dollar is about to go flooding into Europe in an attempt to keep the euro from falling flat on its face, one can also imagine a move away from both euros AND dollars.
The question becomes, what direction does money move when both the euro and the dollar are considered worthless pieces of crap? My guess is gold.

Scanning the news this morning
Interesting times indeed. Of course, the mainstream is flooded with stories about the latest Wikileaks. If you're like me, you're sipping your coffee and smiling, occasionally chuckling, as you read these articles. "First Amendment or Espionage" reads one headline on Drudge Report. "Ecuador offers residency" reads another. Wait, I seem to remember something about them offering amnesty/residency during the last "leak". Ehh, neither here nor there. These aren't the things that really interest me.
Could Wikileaks Revealing Major Bank Secrets Crash the Global Economy?, over at The Market Oracle, however, DOES interest me...A LOT...
Lets just say, I've got my fingers crossed hoping for that one. You could say I'm hoping for doom and gloom. The truth is, I'm just tired of waiting. It's obvious to everyone with "eyes to see" that the current system doesn't work. We're being raped and pillaged from the top down, and it's not going to get any better until it's gotten much worse. My hope is that I'll be there on the other side of the great collapse to help get things right.
And on a more cheerful note, there's this post over at Life After the Oil Crash. I especially enjoyed this snip of the tirade:

Then, when you get old enough to take a good look around, you’ll get depressed, so they’ll give you Prozac. The whole post/email deals with an interesting proposition: why bother continuing to live in the US? My answer to this is difficult at best. One reason is that, well, let's face it...I'm lazy. Another reason is that I have a lot of debt - student loans, of course. A third reason (this is the one I prefer to think is the most important, though I may be just deluding myself) is that I want to help this country SUCCEED. I'm a patriot in that way. I believe in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the principals of our founding fathers. I want to be there to help bring us, the US, back to wholesome greatness on the other side of the great collapse.
Again, that may be just me deluding myself. It happens.
In other news, we dropped to 16*F last night and I woke up to find my hot water line frozen leading to the bathroom. Going to have to set up some circulation fans back there to keep that from happening again. We were forecasted to drop to 7*F last night, but as suspected, the meteorologists out here don't seem to know their ass from their elbow. Since I moved out here to Albuquerque in August, they've been forecasting temps in sometimes 20* ranges for overnight lows and have been typically 5-10* off from actual temperature forecasts. They hit it pretty close for about a week and a half, starting with the last big cold snap, but guess that's over. Of course, high temps have been being forecasted 5-10*F below actual realized all along.
Question is, has this become the case elsewhere as well, or is it just here?
After moving out here to ABQ/"Duke City", my mother an I were discussing the backwards, nearly retarded way in which things are run out here. It came up that this same thing might have happened EVERYWHERE in the US for all we know. I mean, it was bad before, but early August, right after the transits of Saturn and Mars into Libra, it was like we had entered the Twilight Zone. Of course, we've living off "Old Route 66" since we arrived, so we really might have.

The "Web Bots" and the November 2010 "Tipping Point"
It was November 6th, only a few weeks ago. My mother, also a full-time RVer, had her check in hand. We were waiting in line at the bank branch in the local grocery store. We couldn't tell at first that something was up, but as we slowly got closer to the counter, we heard a bank clerk say something to a customer about the systems having gone down earlier that day.
What!?!
That's certainly not what we wanted to hear while waiting to cash a check. Moments later, a branch manager made the announcement that because the system had gone down earlier that day, some transactions wouldn't go through. He then made his way through the line, talking with each customer individually. When he got to us, I asked him about what was happening with their system. He told us that there was an outage earlier that day and that since then, some transactions would go through without a problem but others would fail. The whole country, he said, was experiencing the problem - and not just this bank but all the major banks.
Let me tell you, the hairs on the back of my neck couldn't have raised any higher without detaching from the skin!
You see, we were in the middle of the "web bot" predicted "tipping point". If you don't know what a "web bot" is, go google it. It's something I've been watching out of the corner of my eye for years now. The predicted "tipping point", originally forecasted to occur between November 8th and 11th, had me on edge for the week leading up to the 8th-11th window. What's more, I had just learned the day before that the window had been amended to start on the 6th and end on the 14th. Was this the beginning of a bank holiday and the accompanying SHTF scenarios?
We left only $40 in my bank account. Everything else went with us in cash to buy food, water and gas. Better safe than sorry, right?
Upon returning home that day, there was no mention of it in the news. Wish I could say it didn't surprise me, but it did. Silly me, I guess I still hold on to the notion that there is a real media to covering events like this. What was even more astonishing, however, was that I didn't see any mention of it in the alternative media sites. It's like it was a non-event.
When Monday arrived and there was no bank holiday, I breathed a highly cautioned sigh of relief. The world wasn't changing overnight - at least not yet. In fact, Monday seemed fairly uneventful at first glance. The only thing I really noticed was an increase in the tensions over the whole TSA body scanners deal. Nothing truly extraordinary other than the continued surge in gold and silver, with gold breaching $1400/oz and silver moving toward $30/oz in a hurry.
But later on Monday, something awfully amazing took place. The media was reporting a mysterious missile launch off the coast of California! "Wow!" is all I could think.
Is THIS the beginning of the SHTF scenarios?
Days later and still nothing. The California missile launch was being written off as just a jet with accompanying contrail. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
Then there was news of a big NASA announcement scheduled for the 15th dealing with an "exceptional object". "That has to be it," I thought. It's perfect - the "web bot" had predicted a plateau period between the 6th and 14th, with a sudden shift to "release language" on the morning of the 14th. Maybe it was off by a day, right?
Turns out it was just the discovery of a black hole "relatively" close to us - merely 50 million light years away.
And again, nothing to see here folks.
It'd be easy to write this all off as a failed prediction. Normal daily life 1 - Web Bots 0. Nothing huge and/or catastrophic happened. However, looking back, there was a definite shift in the paradigm during that week.

This country went from being effectively silent on issues of privacy, freedom and liberty to screaming at the tops of their lungs about a tyrannical government bent on destroying our last few freedoms in a mere week.
The snowball definitely started there. The student protests all over Europe continued, but were getting more and more violent with each passing day. The European bank run, scheduled for Decemeber 7th, was sparked by Eric Cantona's YouTube video right about the same time. Also, during the same time frame, the "Crash JP Morgan, Buy Silver" campaign began. All these coincident occurrences - it can't be a coincidence.
Anywho, I'm set to sit back and watch the "tipping point" evolve, for better or worse. Lesson learned: most big events don't just happen, they build up over time. Should be an interesting few months at the very least.
What!?!
That's certainly not what we wanted to hear while waiting to cash a check. Moments later, a branch manager made the announcement that because the system had gone down earlier that day, some transactions wouldn't go through. He then made his way through the line, talking with each customer individually. When he got to us, I asked him about what was happening with their system. He told us that there was an outage earlier that day and that since then, some transactions would go through without a problem but others would fail. The whole country, he said, was experiencing the problem - and not just this bank but all the major banks.
Let me tell you, the hairs on the back of my neck couldn't have raised any higher without detaching from the skin!
You see, we were in the middle of the "web bot" predicted "tipping point". If you don't know what a "web bot" is, go google it. It's something I've been watching out of the corner of my eye for years now. The predicted "tipping point", originally forecasted to occur between November 8th and 11th, had me on edge for the week leading up to the 8th-11th window. What's more, I had just learned the day before that the window had been amended to start on the 6th and end on the 14th. Was this the beginning of a bank holiday and the accompanying SHTF scenarios?
We left only $40 in my bank account. Everything else went with us in cash to buy food, water and gas. Better safe than sorry, right?
Upon returning home that day, there was no mention of it in the news. Wish I could say it didn't surprise me, but it did. Silly me, I guess I still hold on to the notion that there is a real media to covering events like this. What was even more astonishing, however, was that I didn't see any mention of it in the alternative media sites. It's like it was a non-event.
When Monday arrived and there was no bank holiday, I breathed a highly cautioned sigh of relief. The world wasn't changing overnight - at least not yet. In fact, Monday seemed fairly uneventful at first glance. The only thing I really noticed was an increase in the tensions over the whole TSA body scanners deal. Nothing truly extraordinary other than the continued surge in gold and silver, with gold breaching $1400/oz and silver moving toward $30/oz in a hurry.
But later on Monday, something awfully amazing took place. The media was reporting a mysterious missile launch off the coast of California! "Wow!" is all I could think.
Is THIS the beginning of the SHTF scenarios?
Days later and still nothing. The California missile launch was being written off as just a jet with accompanying contrail. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
Then there was news of a big NASA announcement scheduled for the 15th dealing with an "exceptional object". "That has to be it," I thought. It's perfect - the "web bot" had predicted a plateau period between the 6th and 14th, with a sudden shift to "release language" on the morning of the 14th. Maybe it was off by a day, right?
Turns out it was just the discovery of a black hole "relatively" close to us - merely 50 million light years away.
And again, nothing to see here folks.
It'd be easy to write this all off as a failed prediction. Normal daily life 1 - Web Bots 0. Nothing huge and/or catastrophic happened. However, looking back, there was a definite shift in the paradigm during that week.

An Exercise in Futility
A long time ago, a young boy drove his new car to a gas pump. The numbers on the sign read "1.49 9/10".
Many years later, he drove his now beat-up old car to the same gas pump. This time, the numbers on the sign read "2.49 9/10".
The boy, not so young anymore, dug deep into his wallet looking for the extra $25 he needed to fill his gas tank and realized he didn't have it. He spent that extra $25 on rent.
After all, the landlord had raised the rent by another $100 that month.
The boy sadly filled his tank only half way, knowing that he'd be back at that gas pump sooner than he'd like.
But a strange thing happened that day. The company the boy worked for, where he'd spent every day for the last 7 years producing wingnuts, announced it was closing and moving all production to China.
After all, the Chinese can produce wingnuts at 20% cost.
So the boy, now freshly unemployed and worried about next month's rent, returned to his apartment and opened the classified section of the local paper. With a pen handy to circle worthy candidates, he began scanning through the "Help Wanted" section. Ad after ad for "Work From Home" and "Senior Care" were skipped over as he searched for something in the field of producing wingnuts. It didn't take long to finish scanning through the section.
After all, there were only enough ads to cover half the page.
The boy grabbed a beer from the fridge and sat in front of the TV. He flipped through miscellaneous channels, looking for something to take his mind off the situation at hand. He settled on cartoons while he drank his beer. He knew that he'd be ok because the government had just extended unemployment benefits.
After all, his anti-depressant was in the driver's seat, not him.
